I am fascinated by the potential for growth that follows life-altering experiences. The hard parts can turn into new strengths and heightened awareness. ​For a decade, I worked as a birth professional offering doula services and childbirth mentoring. I came to understand that after the birth is when the work of becoming a parent really begins and I saw a clear need for perinatal therapists.
After attending a workshop in healing birth trauma, I knew I wanted to become a therapist, and back to school I went. I graduated with an MSW from Simmons University and worked with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence at YWCA of Kauai while earning my LCSW. This provided me with a deep dive into facilitating healing from trauma. The tools I learned while working with survivors of trauma are central to the work of healing from perinatal challenges as well. I am excited to come full circle and return to my work with birthing parents, this time offering support for mental health and wellbeing.
Rates & Insurance
50 minute session - $120
I am able to provide services as an in network provider for UHA, HMSA, and Kaiser. If you have different insurance, I may be able to provide services as an out-of-network provider and give you the proper paperwork to submit for reimbursement. I am happy to discuss options during our initial phone consultation.

During the tender moments of newborn parenthood I witnessed a new identity being birthed inside myself. Feeling so many things -- Tender. Raw. Senses Alive. Tired. Full-hearted. Unsure. Dependent. Sentimental -- I slowly began settling into this new self that was at once both ancient and brand new.
